Had a day off from running charters so I invited Lane with www.midcoastproducts.com, and his father Frank along for some fun fishing. Lane has built a new style of popping cork that is really sellin like hot cakes all over. Started off meeting Lane and Frank at the boat ramp at 6 a.m. in the morning. I have been keeping the boat down in Matagorda and fishing there for the last 9 months. Frank was staying in Galveston for the week so I picked the boat up the night before and brought it closer to Galveston near San Loius Pass. since it has been 9 months that I fished this area I had to start off fishing some of my old honey holes and hoping it paid off. Well the first stop there was no bait in the area and no fish to be had. We moved on to another spot and nothing but lady fish but tons of bait eerywhere. I had an idea of another place and this place we would wade fish it. We got out of the boat at 9 a.m. and was back in the boat at 10 a.m. with our 3 man limit of 30 trout. All fish was caught on Brown Lures and Fish Bites as well as the bigger trout coming off of topwaters. what a day and was glad to be able to take Lane and Frank along for some great son and father memories.
