Last weekend was a mixed bag of events for Strike Zone Charters. I was at the sportsman show in Gonzales, Capt Kenny was on a 24 hr trip in the Gulf, Capt Tyson was in Guatemala with a group from Texas getting off a three day trip and Capt Kevin had the weekend off trying to find St Patrick in New Orleans. All and all it was a good productive weekend.

I was in Gonzales for three days, talking to a lot of captains, customers and old friends that I had not seen in years. Mr. Mac from Hook & Line Tackle was our host, what a fine sportsman and MAN. Capt. Monroe Meyers keep us entertain for the weekend as his booth was next door. We had a great visit with my old friend and great fisherman Capt. Mike Frenette. Mr. CCA Sam Barbera was keeping thing rolling for the weekend as the rain brought fisherman in by the hundreds. On the last day who walked up to the booth...Mr Doug Welborn the Clerk of Court of BR. We are long time fishing buddy's as well as good friends. Nice to see everyone and to talk about fishing and the good time we had on the water.

Well let get to the fishing and stop the BS......

Capt Kenny had a 24hr trip on the Stress Management on Saturday. They departed the dock at 1:00 pm and ran out of South Pass. I took them 5 hrs to run 50 miles. The seas were coming from the south and he had to take them on his nose. After the slow ride he was able to put some Blackfin and Yellowfin in the box. By midnight the seas started to calm down and the bite was still on. No count on the Blackfin and seven Yellowfin.

Capt. Tyson had three great days of fishing in Guatemala. He had 32 Sail, 14 Dolphin, 6 small Tuna and 5 shots at Marlin. I have a group of Louisianans going on March 25 to the 30 and we have one spot open at this time. The airfares are running real cheap ,$325.00 out of New Orleans to Guatemala City. It takes 3 1/2 hrs to get to Guatemala from NO. We also have some dates open in April and May on the 55' and 40' for groups or add on.

Capt. Kevin had his work cut out this weekend taken care of his girl friend. I think he did a good job. He will back for a full week of 24hr trips on the 55' Strike Zone II.
