[New York Bight,NY] Tog and Ling but the weather was crap and over all so was the fishing
[New York City,NY] Fishing wasn't as good as yesterday but still a good day for mid February. Truthfully any day out in decent temps and fair winds is great in mid February.
[New York Bight,NY] Todays open boat trip was much more productive than yesterdays . Water temps in the area we were fishing were around 42. Both whites and Greens produced quality Tog. John and his pal from LI had a real good day with John limiting out on tog to 10lbs with many of his fish between 5 and 8. His Pal had 6 keepers to 8 lbs .
[New York Bight,NY] Fishing was pretty slow on todays open boat trip . Fishing with whites and greens and in multiple areas we managed just over 20 keepers and some shorts.
[New York Bight,NY] We got a little break in the weather and fishing was Ok. We snuck todays open boat trip in despite the cooler than normal temps. The wind came on a little earlier than expected but it didn't get really sloppy till we were headed in.
[New York Bight,NY] The weather and the tog both cooperated today. Open boat trip today and one disapointed angler missed the boat due to a work issue.
[New York Bight,NY] Fishing contnues to be outstanding with very close to limit catches of big TOG.
[New York Bight,NY] Sloppy conditions in a hard NW wind but they still Bit. We only had 3 hardy souls on todays open boat trip . Conditions were a bit sloppy in the am and wave hights built throughout the day, but these guys were Ok.
[New York Bight,NY] Steady fishing produced a fine catch of Fat Togs Today. Over 70 Keepers for the 6 anglers and 2 Crew aboard . Timmy and Pat had 17 fish between them the smallest being 5 lbs and the largest 11.4 with a few 8's and 9's mixed in.
[New York Bight,NY] Today we had Great weather and Great Fishing. Wow todays fishing was excellent in both quantity and quality. Bill and his boys had 34 keepers between the 4 of them Billy was HH and had a nice 10 lbr while Rob had a nice 9. The Greek and Vinny were no slouchs landing some nice tog to 8lbs. John had 3 nice fish.
[New York Bight,NY] Fishing got back to normal today but the water is cooling down. Today we had an open boat trip and fishing was good Fishing with 6 anglers in the deeper areas with whites and greens . We had 40 keepers to 8lbs...
[New York Bight,NY] Really tough fishing today. There's always tomorrow. Tough fishing for us today with 5 guys on an open boat trip we only managed 11 Keepers up to 7lbs and a few shorts.
[New York Bight,NY] Fishing remains steady with plenty of good sized Tog being landed. Fishing in the am started ou tough with poor anchoring conditions a 25knt wind and slow fishing on the 1st few drops. By the 3rd drop we had a little thing going and were picking away we managed to pick a hand full of fish of the drops for the rest of the day.
[New York Bight,NY] Very good fishing with both quantity and quality. Today we had an open boat trip with 5 anglers and fishing was very good . Victor (learningtotog) was HH with 12 keepers (retaining just his limit) he had 2 fish in the 9 lb range weighed for the tog tourney his others were all between 5 and 8 lbs. I wasn't out today but Victor will post his official weigh in form with the exact weight.
[New York Bight,NY] Steve Catchs a 13.7 and 14.5 lb Tog back to back on his 2nd trip ever. Today we had a charter for Chris and his boys. Some exp. and a few novice toggers
[New York Bight,NY] Tough conditions today but in a stiff breeze and strong current the toggin was good. Todays open boat trip provided some tough conditions. While the weather started out ok with a little snow and a light breeze in the am by 1pm ithe wind was up from the NW and the current was roaring.
[New York Bight,NY] Fished some different areas today and had a nice catch of Togs to 9lbs. Joe and his guys (5)were out today along with Victor. fishing was much better than yesterday, with the guys landing 39 keeper tog and a bunch of shorts.
[New York Bight,NY] Really tough day fishing. But It was a really great group of fishermen enjoying a beautiful day.
[New York Bight,NY] Great weather and a nice pick of fish makes for an enjoyable day. Stevie had a cancelation on his charter so Joe filled in the mt spot. While we were sch. for an offshore seabass trip the weather report dictated that cancel that plan but the guys wanted to go Toggin so off we went.
[New York Bight,NY] Great Quality, not much Quantity... But the weather is still Great! While we did manage to put a few in the boat today, we had to make 8 drops to do it. and only 2 produced much of anything. We fished depth up to 140 ft . While we got a nice shot of some bigger fish between 8 and 10lbs the quantity wasn't great, for all the drops we made.
[New York Bight,NY] The weather really kicked up in the afternoon and the fishing was off. Fishing today was good for One guy and a little off for the rest of us. Timmy had a Good day landing 8 keepers and releasing a bunch of shorts
[New York Bight,NY] Another spring day and some real fine Toggin. 6 anglers on todays open trip and the fishing was very good. with 3 guys catching their limit of Togs to 8lbs. We fished 4 drops the 1st and last producing best .
[New York Bight,NY] Both inshore and offshore produced fine quality tog. We had 6 anglers sch. for todays trip but some unforseen circumstances keept Joe and his guys from making it down. So we left the dock in a stiff south wind with Bernie , Joe and John. Capt. Mike had god life on the reef right from the get go with the guys landing 20 togs by 11 am all nice quality fish.
[New York Bight,NY] Great weather..ok fishing, but it has been better. We tried 17 but the wind against the tide made conditions very sloppy add the millions of endangered Doggies and we bailed on 17 PDQ. So we hit a few drops in to the west where conditions were better. Every drop producd a few quality Togs But none produced enough. Steve was HH with 6 and had nice 8lber
[New York Bight,NY] Good fishing with fish between 4 and 10lbs . And this weather is Great. Rob was both HH and won the pool with the 10.75. A lot of the fish went between 5 and 7lbs. Whites out fished greens and we stayed in the shallower water as the deeper stuff has not been productive.
[New York Bight,NY] 1st Trip of 2007. Hard NW winds. Great Toggin. Today was our 1st open trip of 2007. Timmy, Tom along with Shin and His wife Braved the stiff NW wind and it paid off very well . Everyone had a nice catch of Togs to 9lbs Photos are a bit scarce since the batteries in Georges Phone died. I did get one shot at the dock but most everything had een fileted by then.
[New York Bight,NY] Bigger Fish Today...Happy New Year to All. Joe and Bill along with Ralph and the boys had the boat chartered for today . Capt. john Stayed in the shallower water and put togeather a nice catch of Togs between 4 and 12 lbs for the guys . Greenies out fished the whites today by a wide margin. Everyone in the charter had between 5 and 6 nice keepers to 9lbs .
[New York Bight,NY] Today we had an open boat trip Fishing in the Am was pretty spoty. the guys got a little shot around noon and that didn't last long . Mike and george put in a long day but in the end it paid off Steve and John had 15 nice fish to 8lbs while Chris (seacock) had 5 to 6lbs , Norio and Izra Had 13 between them while Mike had a 3 nice keepers.
[New York Bight,NY] With the weather calling for some snotty conditions offshore. We decided to cancel our offshore seabass trip and offered the guys booked on the trip ,their option of a total refund or going for Blackfish and the balance in cash all but one decided to come toggin . We fished between 80 and 110 ft with poor results everywhere.
[New York Bight,NY] Fishing was off today. Merry XMAS and happy holidays to one and all. Today we had an open boat trip and the fishing was not so hot. the bite in the morning was actually really poor with only 3 fish being caught on 3 drops. in the afternoon we made a little move and found some life.
[New York Bight,NY] Fair winds and good fishing. Decembers do not get much better. Today we had an open boat trip and the fishing was Ok. The morning started off good with some quality fish But it soon died. Fishing stayed slow through the afternoon , but after the tide chang it picked up and we had a decent pick till the end.
[New York Bight,NY] Excellent fishing 66 keepers caught by 5 guys keeping only there limit. Open boat trip today with just 3 anglers . Fishing was very good we made 2 drops for the day and only needed to re adjust the boat a few times to produce 66 keepers with the guys just keeping there Limits.
[New York Bight,NY] Fishing remains good. We have found life in all depths from 45 to 90 ft. Pat and his guys were out today for some Togging Along with Victor (learningtotog). The guys fished a long day as it was a late bite. Fishing with whites ang greens the guys had a Decent catch of keepers with 42 Tog coming over the rails with most fish in the 4 to 6 lb range and a few 8's and 9's mixed in.
[New York Bight,NY] Great Guys, Great Weather, Great fishing It dont get no better. Today we had a charter for Gil (aquahoilc) and his guys. Gil and all the boys were awsome everone had a blast catching some really nice tog to 9lbs. Then releasing 30 some odd Striped bass at the end.
[New York Bight,NY] Great weather and excellent company, but the fishing is still off. Today we had an open trip with Joe (togster2) Andy, Torres,Mike , Bennie and Joe. Once agian we had great company and fine weather , but the fishing is still off. Not Horrid just off. Fishing in 4 different areas with whites and Greens , we managed 23 fish to 9lbs .
[New York Bight,NY] The endangered dog fish chased us out of the deeper water today. Geoge had the day off so it was Me And Capt. Mike along with 6 anglers. Stevie and the boys from City Island did ok with 15 fish for 4 guys with 2 pigs around 9 lbs. Timmy had 5 fish to 5lbs and Bruce had 1. Capt. mike had 2 fish and I bumped into one after giving Bruce a sidwinder lesson. 24 keepers and a fat ling.
[New York Bight,NY] Angler releases a trophy 15lb Tog. Now thats a sportsman. While anchoring conditions were tough today we stuck it out and wound up with a nice catch for the 6 anglers aboard. Steve had a trophy fish A 15 lb slob and after taking a photo made everyone proud when he gave it a kiss and sent it back home Way to go Steve.
[New York City,NY] Fishing improved over yesterday but many many short fish. Fishing today was a good bit better than yesterday. The first drop had plenty of life with 40 fish being caught in the first hours only problem was they were all 13 to 14 inches .The next drop had some bigger fish to 5lbs . We moved off to some deeper water and again lots of shorts.
[New York Bight,NY] Great Company Great weather , Not so great Toggin. Today we had an open boat trip with 5 anglers and the best thing I can say is that the company and the weather were Great. As far as the Black fishing that's another story. Capt. John ran all over Gods ocean making 8 drops with prety much the same result all over , no or very little life .
[New York Bight,NY] Blacks continue to Bite and the Bass showed up as well. Today we had a charter for Norio and his Gang. Norio was the only exp. angler out of the 6 and the guys managed a respectable 35 Keeper togs to 9 lbs. Norio was HH with 15 fish and an 8 and 9 lbr .
[New York Bight,NY] White were the bait today , Fishing remains Good on a regular basis. Left the dock in a stiff west wind and made our way down to the reef. Fishing was a slow pic in the am with the 6 guys boating 20 keepers . With the slack water it stoped altogeather on the change of tide and a sligh location change the guys managed another 21 keepers All in all a fair day but no slaughter.
[New York Bight,NY] Hard west wind made feeling the bite tough But we made out ok in the end. Twas a little sloppy getting across the channel this AM but the guys aboard were game . We had a good pick of fish to 6lbs all day . No slobs but plenty of action and full bags of filet.
[New York Bight,NY] Good company and Fair weather, made a slower day of fishing all worth while. The light winds and flat seas made for a nice day on the water but tough anchoring conditions . The 1st drop had good life with many small fish and a few keepers.
[New York Bight,NY] Fishing continues to be red hot. I hope it last forever. Fishing continues to be Excellent In depth between 45 and 70 ft. White Crabs were the only thing they wanted today. While the bite in the early afternoon was slow.
[New York Bight,NY] Fishing is still red hot Togs are chewing. Fishing was very good again today . White crabs in 60 ft and the life was good everywhere. Jay has been red hot and was again today 16 keepers to 11lbs ( he kept his limit)and tons of shorts released...
[New York Bight,NY] Great fishing with amy. quality Tog coming over the rails. Great fishing today we hit 3 drops and all had good life. Whites were the ticket even better than the few hermits we had . We landed 85 keepers and a ton of shorts with each angler keeping his limit.
[New York Bight,NY] Good solid action with nice quality fish. Fishing was about the same today as yesterday in quantity but not the same Quality . Steve had his biggest fish to date a fine 8lbr along with 6 others in the 3 to 5lb range , Victor had 6 nice keepers , CC had 8 keepers , While Igor had 8 fish with most of them between 4 and 6lbs, Crazy Joe and Jay combined for 11 keepers to 6lbs and Ryan Limited out.
[New York Bight,NY] After the blow things got tough , But if today is any indication they're gonna chew again. Today was our 1st trip out after the Thanksgiving Blow. We had trip sch. for both Friday and Saturday but after seeing how poor the fishing had been and the poor conditions ,they were resch. after discussion with the Groups. Capt. Ryan made his 1st trip of the 06 blackfish season and what a job he did 5 anglers and Ryan combined for 49 fish with 3 fish over 11lbs .
[New York Bight,NY] Happy Thanksgiving With the weater coming tjis will be it till after the holiday. Excellent trip today . We had a boat limit of nice size Togs , No brutes but lots of 3 to 5 lb fish with a few 6 lbrs mixed in Timmy was HH with 15 to 6lbs keeping his limit, Vlad also limited out with nice fish to 5lbs , John had 8 fish to 5lbs , Joe Tried fishing with a knuckle buster for the 1st time and did a great job, he also had a hot hand with 14 fish to 6lbs also keeping his limit .
[New York Bight,NY] Fishing remains very consistant. The togs are biting. Today we had an open boat trip Capt. John at the helm ,Once agian they bit better in the morning. White crabs produced the best but greens did take some fish . Ron A was high hook and had the biggest with 15 Keepers to 8 lbs Keeping his limit, Ron and his partner had around 15 keepers between them ,Kenny had 15 Keepers keeping his limit , George K had 8 fish to 5lbs and Collin had half a dozen keepers to 5lbs.
