[Sabine Lake,TX] Trout fishing has been hit or miss due to the wind and rain. Trout have been good in the ship channel on live bait fishing the drop offs. The problem with this is when a ship comes the water takes a couple of hours to settle out. The channel on the south end of the lake has been good for Trout and Flounder with some reds mixed in.
[Sabine Lake,TX] The best action has come form the north end of Sabine Lake with some heavy weight trout coming from there. The best bait has been the bone color badonka-donk by bomber. The best action has come early in the morining.
[Sabine Lake,TX] We are catching some nice trout in the lake underneath the birds. The best bit has been on an outgoing tide. There are also plenty of redfish mixed in with the trout. The best bait has been a bass assassin 4" split tail in opening night with 1/4 oz jig head. The jetties have been hit and miss. The triple tail have showed up and there are plenty to be had.
