Sailfish and Kingfish In The Upper Keys (12/05/2006)
[Florida Keys,FL] Last week we tried for a sailfish, but couldn't raise any. We did catch Kingfish and a lot of sharks. Had a whale shark come up to the boat; we caught some cobia off it. The water is still a little warm; What sailfish action there was. happened from Davis to Conch reef.
Sailfish Are In Town (11/10/2006)
[Florida Keys,FL] Yesterday, every boat that fished for sails caught them. The action was in 80 to 200 feet of water.
In Search of Spanish Mackerel (10/20/2006)
[Florida Keys,FL] I took a party out into the gulf looking for some Spanish mackerel last week. We found some fish but not the numbers I was looking for. We did catch a number of blacktip sharks. Fishing will only get better. I made a tarpon trip one morning. I was using dead baits. We had two tarpon on, but lost them when they warped around a bridge.
