Fishing Reports by Captain Terry Frankford

Big reds, and trout on the hook (6/29/2008)
[Sarasota,FL] It's always nice to find a great spot that produces big fish consistently, it happens often, unfortunately these spots only stay hot for a week or two, then the fish move on. I was lucky enough to find one just spot to put my anglers on.
Redfish inshore - King Mackerel offshore (5/13/2008)
[Sarasota,FL] Live hand-picked shrimp working inshore for redfish up to 33 inches, and live threadfin herring snaging up to 32 pound King Mackerel offshore
The Kings have arrived (4/17/2008)
[Sarasota,FL] In-shore fishing is good with snook, redfish and trout. Near-shore has produced some great action with Spanish & King mackerel.
We had to move around to find fish, however it proved productive (3/15/2008)
[Sarasota,FL] Weather sure has been an issue for the past couple of weeks. Cold fronts, wind, and rain made the beginning of March seem more like February. My client's and I had to really hunt for the fish
Redfish & Sheepshead action keeping rods bent (2/12/2008)
[Sarasota,FL] With the water staying a little warmer than a normal February fishing great. The redfish are still biting and the sheepshead are starting their spawn
Live Select Shrimp = Big Redfish (1/17/2008)
[Sarasota,FL] Finding a large school of big Redfish that hang around the same area for a few weeks makes for great catch & release action on lite-tackle
Nearshore & Inshore still producing (1/04/2008)
[Sarasota,FL] Mackerel, Kings, and Little Tunny Nearshore reefs. Redfish, Sheepshead, and Pompano Inshore structure
Hot inshore for big Red Drum - Hot offshore for Little Tunny & King Mackerel (12/18/2007)
[Sarasota,FL] The fish have really been hot in the Gulf of Mexico on the near shore artificial reefs with Little Tunny, and King Mackerel on lite tackle stealing the show.
Fast and Fun Action on Sarasota's Near-Shore Reefs (11/28/2007)
[Sarasota,FL] King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, Lesser Amberjack, Barracuda, and Little Tunny have been on the near shore artificial reefs off of Sarasota.
Action near shore and inshore if you can find good weather (11/09/2007)
[Sarasota,FL] There are fish both near shore and in shore so you need to adjust with the weather.
Non-Stop action on Near Shore Artificial Reefs (10/24/2007)
[Sarasota,FL] It's fast and furious action this time of year on the Near Shore Reefs. Several species have arrived do to the cooler water temps and the abundance of bait. Light tackle action at it's best.
