I could go on about offshore and the structure action this time of year but I will save that for the offshore and light tackle fellas. Flats fishing this time of year isn't really considered to be optimal, but the way I see it, once winter has peaked, the fishing only gets better. You have all the joys of the winter backcountry action with the increasing appearance of tarpon as conditions start to level out. Permit are making plenty of appearances and well that's the cat out of the bag. When these mild winter temps persist permit are well worth targeting. Check out my blog at keysflatsguide.blogspot.com for pics and videos or visit my website at captainclintmoore.com. Until the next report, have a good one and come visit us in The Keys.
