BON CHOVY FISHING REPORT NOV 15/2007

The local winter chinook salmon fishing has been reasonable over the last few weeks. We have been averaging 3-7 hook ups per charter in the 4 ' 15 pound range. On most days you have to work through the smaller salmon to get a keeper.

We have focused our efforts in English Bay in 90-120 feet of water. We have had the majority of our hook ups around the QB marker. Productive depths have been from 75 feet to the bottom. We had our success using army truck hootchies, watermelon, glow, and army truck coyotes all behind flashers.

There have been some reports of winter chinook from the back side of Bowen Island as well. There seems to be less action, but good quality out that way.

The winter spring season is just starting now and should really get going into December, January, and February.

Call us to book a winter chinook charter!
