Due to surgery that I had a couple of weeks ago, I have not been able to add a new fishing report for some time and we are now done fishing for the year. Most of the activity in the lake is now slowed and the fish that are being caught are out in 60 to 100 foot of water. The problem the last few weeks have been high winds and rough water. There are some salmon being caught in the Kalamazoo River and in the St. Joe River but it changes from day to day.

I will try to keep you updated on the salmon and steelhead fishing through out the winter and and into the spring, however the reports will occur every two or four weeks and not every week like the summer. As fishing success increases, the frequency of the reports will increase. If you need information about fishing or fishing charters, email me at captron@chartermichigan.com or call 888-253-8372.
