Within a mile of the dam
The stripers are now near the dam in 80 to 100' of water feeding on shad and crawdads. Two methods have been the most productive, spoons and live shad. The shad fishermen are out fishing the spoons 5 to 1. Look for stripers on the breaks near the channel, drop your lines to the bottom and crack up three turns for best results. I have attached a video showing down fishing using 10' BnM crappie poles for stripers.
