The incoming water has warmed up in just a few short days and the bass are fat for the spawn. Look for clear water inlets that are narrow and deep. Robo worms in the "witches tea" 4" and "arrons magic" seem to be the hot baits right now. The west & north branches have the best areas for this with three major creeks coming into the lake.In the west you'll find Concow creek (check your lake map) and a few other smaller tributaries. The north branch will give you Berry creek & French creek plus a half a dozen other smaller creeks. At present, they're looking for Pond Smelt to eat on, and are starting to "wake-up" for spawn. Use your fish finder to locate the fish and stay away from major points. They want clean water, ogxn.,and lots of food. Another couple of weeks and you'll be able to spit in the water and some bass will try to eat it. For now, for now stay patient, keep one eye on your finder, and the other on the rocks.

Good hunting,

Bruce Gibson,
