11/16 Opening Day Blackfish Limits!!!

Headed Out with a Bunch Of the Usual Suspects... Bob Bates, U.P Paulie, Stellios, Coolhand Fluke Al, Pat and Big Don had the boat Chartered for the big opener!

Headed Up north were the bite was great before the blow... Water was filthy dirty and the was a slight swell left over from the blow...

Got anchored and had absolutely no life... Made A few moves around the Elberon and L.b. with no better results... Not even scratches we only snagged a couple of shorts and had acouple bites... Talked with others most with similar results...

Retreated with an empty box and took a Big steam back to the south and in deeper water...

Anchored up in 75 ft in much cleaner water.... Instant life... The bite began... and it seemed the afternoon was going to treat us better!

Picked away lots of shorts and nice size keepers... It wasnt the best bite but it was steady and the Blackfish started to add Up in the cooler until the Guys had the 6 man Limit

Congrats to Al breaking in his brand new Kevin Bogan rod with a Limit of tog...

Bob had some nice flurries of Tog... Way to go Don on the first double header of the season (pic attached)... Stelly has been spoiled by RI but recoverd to prevent hack status ... Up finished strong and Pat Dont Like pictures

Was pulling my hair out in the morning but in the end it turned out to be a great day!!! Tough bite but the guys fished hard all day to put a catch together!

Around 45 Keeper size fish for the day with everyone taking home their limit of blackfish!!! Had at least that many short as well!!!

Lots Of laughs, oh and food... Fun day

Thanks again guys!!!

Blackfish Wed 11/18

Ahh canceled Tues cause they caused for gust to 25 and it was Nice out. Sailed today in the 10-15 Forecast and it was Lumpy and Bumpy go figure.

Had a Great group of guys... Eric The Mortgage Man, Gene the Bagel Boy, Kneel, Mike, Joe Jigs and Tony Triggs!!!

Headed up north... got up there and anchored up... But we didnt see much life... Mike had a couple quick boxers but that was it... 2nd drop the same couple shorts...

Moved a little further north and when we anchored it showed some signs of good life... The bite was sluggish but we started picking at some nice size keepers having a few flurries and some dead time in between...

We stuck it out here since we had some life and the ocean was a little angry... Picked and plucked never a great bite but enough to stay on your toes... and a bunch of the keepers were in the 4-7lb range. We also dropped and busted a few other fish that were good. Real scratchy bite!

Sea Got to a couple of the guys... But others stayed on the rail and picked away for the day.

CONGRATS TO ERIC THE MORTGAGE MAN!!! He had the big redemption from his RI. trip last week with his limit and personal best! Mike Started out strong while Joe was the closer... Tony was consistent... And Bagel Boy Gene wins the Viking Award(Viking Hat Pic Attached) landing his limit in between Chumming and sleeping.

Not everyone boated a limit But between everybody we boxed 40 Keepers(6 man limit+) so everyone got to take home a legal limit of fillets...also had a Bunch of shorts and Prob around 8 fish in the 4-7lb range.

Tough Bite and conditions But the guys made the best of to put together a catch!

Thanks again Guys!
