fishing charters in tampa bay fishing report by captain tony frankland. the redfish have been out in large numbers in tampa bay they have been in real shallow water. so you must approach as quiet! as you can they are eating cut bait the best right now. cut threadfins have worked best right now! live scaled sardines are also working. the trout bite is still good on the deep grass flats as well mangrove snapper, mackerel, bluefish, jacks, and flouder,have also been caught. snook are around in good numbers they have been tight against the mangroves trying to stay cool a good cast will get them to bite live sardines are working best for snook.
