Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 2/25/12

Fishing had its ups and downs this past week as we had several days with winds in the 30 mph just making it extremely tough to move around the lake and stay on a bite when you found it. We did catch some fair numbers each day, but catching a big fish proved to be a problem. I spent most of the week up river where you had a chance to hide from the North West wind on the north side bank.

Most our fish were caught on traps and jerk baits, with some fish on Tight Line jigs and worms. The real pre spawn chasing just hasn't really set in yet, I think the water temperature is going up and down and the fish aren't really ready to chase yet. Fishing is good not really great I think we are still a few weeks away from the best of the pre spawn, so the best is yet to come.
