Big Bank has been consistent this past week and had a good day today for salmon and halibut. The Rat's Nose to east of the Egg is where most boats have been fishing. The inshore fishery has also had some good bites, especially early in the morning for larger Chinook. We have also been fishing with live squid, which is something that happened in 2014 and we have been waiting a while for it to come back. The squid seem to be late this year, which we hope means that we will get a good fishery there for a while.

We have been seeing a few whales the past few days. There have been some Transient Orcas offshore and some Orcas in close to shore, which we are guessing are also Transients as well. The Transient Orcas just feed on larger mammals like sea lions, where Resident Orcas feed on salmon and other fish.
