I made it offshore with Brian and Torie Eaton Tuesday and I have to say I had a blast fishing with them. We where able to put some amberjack, almaco jack, grouper, and cobia in the boat with the great weather we've had the past couple of days. I know everybody always reports how many red snapper there are now, but let me tell you they are a nuisance. Red snapper was them biggest problem I had . I went to chum mangroves and masses of red snapper came to the surface, 5-10 pounders on the surface everywhere . I couldn't put the hooks in the mangroves, which where also plentiful, because the red snapper out numbered them. We also jigged up several 20# class red snapper.

On another note I do have to give credit to the new Frenzy jigs. I used several different brands yesterday and I got noticeably more strikes on the Frenzy jigs. (And NO I did not receive any money or gear from them).

Fishing season is here. We are starting to get those slick calm days great for overnight canyon trips and snapper season is right around the corner. Give me call if your ready to get on the water and some fish.

I'll post some pics as soon as I get them.
