Fort Lauderdale Sport Fishing Charters – Bahamas Fishing Report

We couldn't have asked for better weather this Labor Day weekend fishing in the Bahamas. Earl just missed us and as soon as the weekend hit, seas were back to flat and the sun was shining bright; perfect weather for a crossing over to Bimini, Bahamas. On Saturday morning, we had a fishing and diving charter. We waited for an outgoing tide until 11 AM and then headed 11 miles to the north to catch Yellowtail Snappers, Mutton Snappers and maybe even some Red Groupers. Once we reached 70 ft of crystal clear water, I put a chum bag on the anchor and one on the surface at the back of the boat. It didn't take long for about 200 Yellowtail's to show up, it was incredible. And of course, along with the Yellowtail come the Trigger fish. We had 5 rods out and we were catching fish after fish. We stuck around for one 1 hour and left our little spot with 100 fish. On the way back to the dock we hit up a few lobster spots in 25 ft of water; we caught 30 Lobsters and called it a day. Fishing in the Bahamas is nearly endless. Call today for details about a trip of a lifetime.

Tight Lines!
