Today we had the pleasure of fishing with ex Marine, Gulf War Veteran, Daniel Garcia. We loaded up on Bait at Bugs Light and decided on heading to Fowey Rocks and start our drifts between 70 and 300 feet. We managed a descent King Mackerel bite early in the morning that lasted till about 10:00 AM. During one of the drifts we possibly lost a Sailfish. After we decided to head north to fish some of the wrecks of Key Biscayne. On the way there we observed a nice rip and managed a small Dolphin. On the wrecks of Key Biscayne we managed a nice Barracuda. One note that all fish caught today where caught on Circle Hooks with no wire.

We are starting to get in the Winter pattern. Cold Fronts are starting to sweep through and bring Northeasterly breezes. It wont be long before the Sailfish bite starts heating up. Last week there where reports of an early Sailfish bite with some boats catching 4 and 5 Sailfish a day. There has also been reports of King Mackerel and Wahoo being caught. As usual the yellowtail snapper bite continues to be productive as long as there is current.
