Summer has arrived and that means a lot of our Ft. Lauderdale Deep Sea fishing charters involve children of all ages. That 1st photo is of Donna holding her whopper Bonito. Never mind the Wahoo, Kings and Tuna on the fish rack, she likes that big "Bomber". This is a good time to get the kids offshore with good "action' fish such as Donna's fat Bonito being mixed in with other species along the edges of the reefs. Pleasant fishing weather but bring lots of sunscreen. Only a few scatttered showers.

We are seeing Wahoo regularly. Some Blackfin Tuna as well. The Hoos are are biting just off the reef line from 150 to 400 feet. As usual most fall for the deep lines but the long center rigger has gotten some attention as well. No really big Hoos for us but they are here and biting. Blackfin Tuna have been a little deeper here off Ft. Lauderdale and mostly in 300 to 500 feet.

Summertime Kings best in the mornings and holding a bit deeper than normal with the warmer mid Summer time water. Mahi for us have been spotty and a ways offshore making it difficult to gamble and go long on half day trips. We're more than willing to go if that is the request but a miss hunting them off the edge can make for a long morning so we have been holding off chasing them out in the deep until we get a longer charter. We are ready for an all day charter with a request to chase the Mahi so that we will have a good chance for success. There are Blue Marlin out there as well.
