Matagorda, Texas - Saltwater Fishing Report
East Matagorda
The last full moon we headed out to Matty with my partner in crime, Capt. Hollis Forrester and crew. Hollis invited me to join in with them since my group could not make it out. It was a beautiful night as we watched the lightning in the distance we began throwing tops. It was AWESOME.....we stumbled onto the best topwater bite I have seen in a while!!!The action was non-stop with trout and reds!! We threw allot of reds and smaller trout back as we continued on looking for solid fish and we found e'm!!!! The total for the night was 39 solid trout and 4 big reds all on top!!!!with atleast that many smaller ones released!! Most of the trout where 20 to 27 inches!!!!! Thanks to Hollis for letting me join in on another awesome night adventure!!!!
