Today we fished with Ben, Sally, Luke, Pat and Rob all from England.

We went right to trolling the reef and off shore and ended up catching 2 black fin tunas, 3 bonitos and 7 Mahi Mahi.

Guy's thanks again for fishing with us off the coast of Fort Lauderdale aboard the Hooked Up.

Dec 4th

This morning we started out our day fishing with Todd, Scott, Gera, Jen, Tom and T.J. all from parts unknown.

We started out trolling off shore and caught dinner with five 5 to 6 pound Mahi Mahi.

Ok now that dinner was out of the way it was time to try for the big one.

In came the trolling gear and out went the kites with some live baits suspended from them along with a couple shark baits set down deep.

Today it was the deep shark rod that bent over and BAM we were Hooked Up.

After a good 30 min back and forth tug a war we got this nice hammerhead shark to the side of the boat.

And there you have another successful trip aboard the Hooked Up.

As we pulled in back at the dock we had our afternoon trip eager to give their luck a shot at some deep-sea fishing off the coast of Fort Lauderdale aboard the Hooked Up.

We had Mark from Crown Imports, Dan, Cheryl and Jim from Arizona.

There were 3 boats involved in this trip and to say there was a little competition would be an understatement.

So we were going for the Hero or Zero shot at this thing.

We started out setting our kites up in 350 feet of water with live baits suspended from them along with a couple shark baits set down deep.

Ok the trap was set and the wait began. We waited and waited and waited with no results @$$@^*

Ok the time had come for a change so we went back and forth as to where to set up and finally we decided to set out kites back out next to a buoy where we knew there was always a lot of bait fish hanging around.

Back out went the kites and back to waiting we went.

Than all of a sudden with out any warning at all our right long bait just seemed to start swimming away. Now we knew this bait fish was not strong enough to just keep swimming away like this was so we just kept feeding it line and hopped for the best.

All at once this MONSTER SAIL FISH came out of the water dancing all over the place. At the same time I went ahead with the boat as fast as I could trying to get the line tight quick. With in seconds the line came tight and the rod bent over and BAM we were Hooked Up.

Mark AKA the Coach jumped in the chair and the fight was on.

Now baring in mind fishing was slow and we had finally gotten our first bite and probably the winning fish on the other end we did not want to take any chances on letting this one get away.

So the drag was set perfectly and the coach was coached every second of this fight and with in 20 to 25 min we had this MONSTER 94 inch sail fish to the boat or should I say this winning fish to the boat.

After some BIG HIGH FIVING and some HAND SHAKING we switched to bottom fishing trying to get some fish for the table.

Well our bottom fishing only produced a small mutton snapper and 1 amber jack but that was ok we had the winning fish.

Thanks again to everyone from Crown Imports and from Koncept Events for putting this together it was a ball and we're looking forward to this again next day.
