Warming weather has sure made the fishing here on Guntersville Lake a lot more enjoyable. The fishing has been pretty tough the last couple of weeks. We have finally started to come out of the deep-freeze and the bass bite is starting pick up a little. I fished a B.A.I.T. tournament last Saturday with a good friend. The bite was slow but we did manage to catch the only 5 fish limit of the tournament. Our fish weighed 14 lb 9 oz. Second place was a little over 9 pounds. We also had big fish, 4lb 6 oz. That is some pretty tough numbers for Guntersville. The water Saturday was 37 degrees. Today it was back up to 47 degrees. I've had some pretty slow days since Saturday but, things picked up a little today. Water current has been a big player in my pattern but the last few days there has been virtually no noticable flow. At 2:00 today I started to notice some water flow and then I caught a 5 pounder. I caught several more after that.

As conditions continue to improve, so will the fishing. February is my favorite month of the year and is coming up quick. Give me call and let me show you how I catch BIG Lake Guntersville Largemouth!
