During the past 4 days a total of 56 marlin were caught by boats from Struisbaai harbor with most marlin being released and only 4 brought to shore.
Over 140 strikes and hookups were reported with a few boats managing double hookups as well. One striped marlin was even caught on a spinning outfit.
The warm water that has been flowing in from the east, coupled to an abundance of yellowtail, tuna and skipjacks, are mostly responsible for another great marlin season.
