The last week has been pretty good for quality despite the big cold front coming through. Everyday the quality came by flippin a jig or Go 2 Bait Swim Craw, throwing a frog, or fishing grasslines with a Moab Custom Crankbait. Each day had plenty of bites with the frog but alot of the fish played ping pong with it and most the bigger fish we hooked we couldn't get them out of the mat. You can fish for schooling fish with flukes, jerkbaits, and worms and catch all the fish you want but the size is mostly 2-3 lbers. Saturday dad and I fished the HT3 Slam Team out of Goosepond. Wind blowing 20 mph out of the north and cold temperatures made for a tough day. We flipped and threw a frog all day having to move around a bunch but managed 22.68 lbs with big fish of 6.51 lbs. We came in first and had big fish. 2nd place was Stanly Morris and David Gray with over 20 lbs. The fishing should only get better with this cooler weather. I have Oct 26th open. In November I have the 3rd,6th,9th-12th,16th-18th, and 30th. I also am offering special winter rates. Check out my website for pricing.
