I had a couple people today for a Shad fishing trip. We fished out of Red Bluff. The Shad fishing was pretty good we fished for about 4 hours and hooked 15 fish most were females . We were back bouncing Green or Pink grubs on a 1/16 oz. jig head and a ¼ oz. weight about a foot up the line. I have been seeing a few Salmon jumping while we are Shad fishing that is a good sign for the up coming Salmon opener on the 16th of July. The Sacramento River Wild Rainbow Trout fly fishing from Redding to Red Bluff is great right now we were out last week and hooked 20 fish in a 3 hour trip we only landed 9 of them that night but the ones we did land were big Wild Rainbows over 3 lbs. What were they biting, Fly's, Buds and Plugs.
