Hottest Colors: Watermelon, 1oz Jigs very hot bait

Date Fished: Jan. 8th to 10th

Comments: Jan 8 - Leo Osburns group report excellent largemouth numbers and also reported a 10.8 and 9.8 bass caught on Carolina rigged watermelon Lizards. Six boats on the water all doing very well with 150 bass being caught per boat.

Jan 10 - High-quality bass fishing - countless numbers of 1 to 3 lb. bass and Russ reports a fair number of fish over 8 and seven bass over 10 lbs. The big fish are coming deeper with Carolina rigged watermelon lizards and wacky style 5 inch watermelon senkos. Watermelon jigs along with black and blue 1 oz. jigs produced a good number of quality largemouth bass. It seems as though the big fish are moving shallow and we will start seeing more and more trophy bass caught in the next several weeks.
