Overall, striper fishing is still on the slow side, with the cold water temps and threadfin kill still occuring.

There has been a noticeable movement of gizzard shad towards backs of the creeks, with the warmer temps and stained water in the creeks, they are warming up fast. Some bigger fish are being boated on large baits in the back 1/3 of the creeks. Look for points near where the water changes from stained to clear. The striper will start feeding heavily on the bigger baits as they enter pre-spawn. Your change for a big fish will be best during the next two months.
