Montrose/Belmont harbor:
Fish are Spotty, Literally hit or miss When The bite is on Minnow Heads on Swedish pimples seems to be the ticket, Or Drop shotting minnows along weed beds. Anglers are having to sort through a lot of dinks to get jumbos although the anglers considering the jumbos are 8"-10" not to many big ones being caught. Fish seem to be holding in 15-20 Ft of water. Anglers fishing minnows on jig heads are catching occasional steel head and browns.
Navy Pier:
Seems Like the best bet as of right now. Anglers are catching perch in the 10-12 1/2" range. But Here is also hit or miss. One day you'll be on them catching a limit and the next There gone. The weather is playing a big part in it as well here in Chicago 3-4 days being in the 40's-50's then dropping 2-4 days to 20's-30's Fishing will heat up soon. once this next warm spell moves in. We Predict good fishing by this weekend and through next week.
