This week started out pretty slow. The water was still pretty cold. Warmest I would find was mid 50's. By the end of the week we had water temp in the afternoon's in the low 60's. The black bass started to move up a bit. Of course with the cold front this weekend that will move them back. They had almost closed the gates as well, with th lake only being a couple inches high. We got about an inch of rain out of this storm, so maybe by mid week they can completely close them. The lake is starting to clear up in areas as well.

Early in the week all we could get bit on was a reaction type bait. Chatterbaits, traps, and spinnerbaits. And those bites weren't many. Later in the week we started getting bit on some plastics. A split shot rigged fluke, a texas rigged lizard and a jig. I had a couple of personal best this week. Nathan who is 10 caught a really nice 5lb 14oz black and Kyler, 18, got a 9lb 7oz beauty.

Looks like we are in for a fast warm up after this weekend, which will be great. I still have a couple slots open in March and some in April. The spawn in April should be fantastic.
