Fishing is good on Lake Texoma, though not as good as we typically expect this time of year. The fishing can be great one day and average the next. The stripers can be found at various depths of water so it is difficult to pattern the fish consistently. I have fished in water all the way from 2 feet to 50 feet this month. When fishing in shallow water we have also been catching a lot of real nice white bass and smallmouth bass. In fact several trophy class smallmouth have been taken in the past couple of weeks. If you plan a trip in the next couple of weeks, I believe that the pattern will begin to stabilize in deep water.

Live shad has been the bait of preference, however, topwaters and sassy shads are producing well in shallow water.
