3/14, 3/15 & 3/18 Reports

Today I had the pleasure of fishing with a group of great guys from Tennessee. With the very low water and wind we took to plan 2 and headed to deeper water. First stop along the way proved to be a waste of time as the water was too low. We then continued to our planned spot and the First cast and BAM!!! Bull Red. 2nd cast and BAM another bull red. A few seconds later all 4 were hooked up at the same time. After 15 to 20 Bull Reds caught and released we made another move. As soon as the baits hit the water all 4 fishermen were hooked up. Within the next 40 minutes all had limited out and we headed back to the dock with 4 Bull Reds, 12 other Reds from 6 to 7 pounds and 20 really nice Black drum. The action in Hopedale, Delacroix and Black bay are heating up fast. I have a couple weekends and weekday dates available in March and April so give Capt. Sal a call today at 504-812-7773 to get in on the bite or look us up for more info at www.gotchahooked.com.

Today I had the pleasure of fishing with Fernando and his guest from Dallas Texas. Again the water was very low. With this in mind we again headed to deeper water and it again proved to be the right pick. First cast and BAM!!!! Both were hooked up with Bull Reds. Next few cast were with the same results, Bull Reds! We made a move down the bank a few hundred feet and within the next hour my crew had boated 2 Bull Reds, 8 other Reds between 6 to 7 ½ pounds, 10 really nice Black Drum and 3 sheepheads. With the winds picking up we decided to head in for fish cleaning and some stories and beverages of choice. I have a couple weekends and weekday dates available in March and April so give Capt. Sal a call today at 504-812-7773 to get in on the bite or look us up for more info at www.gotchahooked.com.

Today I had the pleasure of fishing with my Honeymooners David and Ann from California. They arrived to the boat with very light clothes due to not expecting the very cold weather. After a few minutes of adjustments, the captain managed to get both covered up with Jackets and a set of his own bibs. With the water again gone with the wind we started with a long run to deeper water. Again it proved to be the right call. Both were hooked up from the first cast with BULL REDS!!!!!! After catching and releasing around 10 Bulls we made a move. 2nd stop and 5 smaller reds. 3rd stop and 1 hour later we headed to the dock with a total of 2 Bull Reds, 8 other smaller reds, and 10 really nice Black Drum. While I cleaned and packed the fish for shipping my Honeymooners warmed up and feed the Pelicans. I have a couple weekends and weekday dates available in March and April so give Capt. Sal a call today at 504-812-7773 to get in on the bite or look us up for more info at www.gotchahooked.com.
