Before I give you the fishing report I would like to congratulate the crew of the " Done Deal". My good friend Jon Gonsoulin and his great captain, Capt. Jason Buck. They were able to bring the only Marlin to the dock and pick up the largest check from the Mississippi Gulf Coast Billfish Classic last weekend.

Four X STRIKE ZONE CHARTER CAPTAINS ( now working on privet yachts: Capt. Jason Buck, Capt. Kevin Frelich, Capt. Eddie Savoy and Capt. Mike Gordy) won over $550,000 in prize money in the Marlin and Tuna division. They should not be allowed to fish the Tuna division...They all were weaned on catching TUNA. Great job you Louisiana Skippies and a great job of putting on a first class tournament to Mr. Bobby Carter.

Congratulations go out to Rene Cross for trolling over the Marlin 20 times and calling Jon over to make the catch. That's a good friend''''

Now on to the fishing report from our crews, Capt. Kevin Aderhold had a trip on Monday that produced a lot of different species of fish. He ran out of Southpass 28 miles and started to chum. After about 15 minutes, he had a Marlin in his chum slick and then on his hook for a short time. The Blackfin were content with the cut bait but the Yellowfin only wanted live small hardtails. He played hell catching bait and he managed to put one Yellowfin , Blackfin, Dolphin and some rainbow runners in the box. On the way to the pass he stopped at a rig in 150 feet of water and got his limit of Red Snapper in 15 minutes. The snappers were feeding like Piranhas. The over night trips are still on fire catching 40 to 80lb Yellowfin and all the Blackfin you want to catch.

We are still open for some Money Tournaments in the next few weeks in Florida on our 55' STRIKE ZONE TOO if you love to fish and gamble. We also have one 40' sportfishing yacht open for the Grand Isle or Faux Pas Rodeo, July 24,25 & 26.

Our new boat to the fleet is another 55' Ocean Yacht that is in Destin for the next few weeks. If anyone wants a charter out of Destin give us a call and we will "HOOK YOU UP".

We are now booking our winter trips to Guatemala for the big Bill Fish Run.....STRIKE ZONE CHARTERS GUATEMALA

GOOD FISHING & BE SAFE FROM THE CREW OF STRIKE ZONE
