The fishing was good. Nice fish were jumping. T he loons followed us around to scoop up any fish we turned loose.
Long Lake is a part of the Alaska State Trophy Fishing Program. All fish must be released and the loons know this. They wait for the released exhausted fish to be released so they can grab a quick snack. Some times they will take the fish off the line for you.
