Aug 4 - Medicine Lake is hot!!! I fished with some friends of mine on Friday and we caught and released over 60 Trout. The Brook and Rainbow Trout are all over the lake and they are hungry. Jigging a buzzbomb smeared with Pautzke krill paste and trolling a Sep's kick-dodger with a worm trailor, was all it took to land one Trout after another. Trolling slow and jigging around 35 feet are the keys to success. The lake is full and should continue to kick out Trout until winter arrives.

Aug 2 - Chelsey the FishSlayer is back!! Chelsey, Doug and I fished Medicine Lake for the first time this year and it could not have been much better. I'd say anytime you catch and release over 45 Trout, the day could not be much better. Jigging (Buzzbomb), Trolling (Sep's kick-dodger with a worm), Fly fishing (woolley booger bugger) were all fish catching methods. It did not seem to matter, just as long as when you were trolling you went slow, 1mph or less. The lake is full and the trout are very hungry, so now is the time to go!!!! ******Check out the pictures of our trip in my photo gallery.
