We have had some excellent Brown Trout fishing here in mexico bay. Brown trout from 4-12 pounds being caught in very impressive numbers.

Trolling Smithwicks, Thunder sticks, Rapalas, Michigan Stingers in BLK/ Silver or GOBY patterns in 6-12 fow at 2.0-2.2 sog trolled 80-175 feet behind planar boards or shallow set down riggers has been producing the best.

We run 3 rods out on each Board and set 1-3 riggers depending on action level. when its real busy we keep the riggers out of the water too avoid tangles.

We can schedule an informational charter too help you get a better grasp on shallow water trolling for spring Brown Trout.
