Lower Madison is heating up by Brian McGeehan (9/19/2011)
[Madison River] The lower Madison is heating up as water temperatures cool. The river in this section is normally too warm for good fishing from July to August, but really turns on in the fall. Fishing big streamers or crayfish patterns brings in the big fish, but blue winged olive hatches on cloudy days can produce good dry fly fishing.

Yellowstone River Winter Fishing by JB Klyap (1/30/2010)
[Yellowstone River] The icebergs offer good vantage points-slippery casting platforms. The river is lower than normal, easily waded. When there's normally 1 fish per square foot...what happens when the river comes down 10 times the norm...you do the math, I am tying on a bug and casting first!
