November 30, 2007
The day started with a cancellation but with all the preparation from the night before we still decided to head out. Bait at Bugs was thick and consisted of mostly Threads with some Blue Runners in the mix. Loaded up with bait and decided to head south just north of Triumph. While trolling south we noticed a nice rip and landed our first dolphin nothing big but it just got the blood going. Not a well defined edge between Triumph and Fowey but definitely fish-able in some areas. Steady north current all day. After a couple of drifts we managed another couple of schoolly dolphin and rod bending Bonitos and decided to head midway between Triumph and Fowey. Again no well defined edge mostly blue/green water. Here we missed nice sail due to operator error, shortly after the Kings showed up weighing up to 15lbs and shortly after we where able to land a small sail in 50 feet of water. Finally the surprise of the day was a nice Mutton Snapper that hit one of our flat lines in 90 Feet of water. All in all not a bad day for us. All fish where caught inside 150 Feet. Sea conditions where a comfortable 1 - 3 feet. Chater on the Radio was minimal.
