I got out Monday evening with my friends from Fishermans Paradise Lee and Rob. Its was a very slow evening of fishing. The morning bite is alot better than the night. We ran out into New Haven Harbor and anchored up next to SunBum Charter. Right away Captain Mike hooked up with 2 fat 40 inch fish. We were getting blues at the time. Finally the leadcore setup got hit and we put a 30 inch fish into the boat. They played around with blues for a while and I setup the net for fresher bunker. Well that did the trick. A few minutes later Lee hooks up with a fish on a lite tackle setup. It looked like he was having fun fighting the cow. After a 10 minute battle I netted the fish. It was just over 40 inches and about 25 pounds. The action pretty much died after that So we called it a night.

So 2 keepers, a bunch of blues and an evening on the water with friends....What could be better than that!!!!!
