We beat the water on the Anchor River and Deep Creek hard this year, with not much to show!

With only a few "good" days out of the entire month. Numbers of fish returning on ALL the rivers dropped from the previous 2 years.

People are standing around scratching their heads and have no idea why!!

I will tell you why:

There was major flooding in the area 5 years ago. Everyone thought the flood would impact the 2006 return, but it did not. We had another record return for some species in 2006. I on the other hand figured it would be the 5 year old fish that would be effected. The decline in numbers for 2007 for ALL species lends me to believe the flood thinned out the return.

We will have to see if the numbers for 2008 increase!
