Had Mike and his two sons Vinny and Mike from NJ out yesterday. I wasn't veru optimistic given the wind and freezing cold temps. The water at 8:30 was 62 and only hit 67 at the warmest part of the day.
The FIRST cast of the day little mike hit's a 32" - 8 pound snook. Red jig head, rootbeer tail. What a great fight!
There was no watr so hit the upper passes to wait for the rise out front, we caught a ton of snappers and jacks and a few trout and plenty of kitty's.
When the water was 3/4 up out front I hit some points without much luck. We got a sheepshead, trout, jacks, snappers and a PUFFER.
I headed into the back and fished some points and hit paydirt. As Charlie Wright was waking me with the Kayak Mothership Mike the father was on his second Redfish. We caught 4 on that point.
Then all hell broke loose and Vinny nailed this enormous over the slot Girl that ran and fought like a champ!
Dad finished up the day with a large over the slot Red and we were rolling back to the dock around 4pm, all tired with big smiles on our faces!.
Final Tally:
3 broken Freight Trains
3 upper or over slot Snook
7 Snooklets
7 Reds - 1 overslot
Trout
Jacks
Ladies
Snaps and Kitties

Bio: A typical day out on the water, is never so typical. We start out with a leisurely ride through the backcountry in Mangrove lined channels. I always see MANATEE, usually see big ALLIGATORS and don't be surprised to see a BALD EAGLE or two! The water is golden brown, typically too dark to see through until we start stalking fish in the shallows. Almost immediately, bait will be jumping, tarpon will be rolling and gulping air and snook will be "Popping" the surface catching bait. I call my fishing experience unique. Most Snook guides guarantee Snook at night, well, I guarantee them during the day. I also, practice catch and release sport fishing unless a fish should die while fighting. I do however understand the urge for fresh fish, and if you want it fresh, I'll get it for you! I am also unique because I have spent my life earning a living in Real Estate and Finance. I have always fished for fun. I have fished 300 days a year for as long as I can remember. I have found a reliable, fun and action packed way to catch some of the most sought after game fish and I am anxious to share it with you. In as little as 4 hours we can catch Snook, Tarpon, Redfish, Trout, Snapper, Shark, Jack, Grouper, Sheepshead and more!
