The Florida Crappie Association held it's monthly tournament on Johns Lake in Clermont with George Parker and Tim Emerly again taking the top spot weighing in seven fish with a total weight of 9 lbs 11oz. The team was fishing docks using Culprit Dbl. Hammer crappie baits on Vicious florocarbon line fishing the shady spots. Second place went to Darryl and Teri Cole with a total of 8lbs 11 oz. they were tightlining the fish attractor using Rons Zip Jigs. Taking big fish of the tournament was the team of Mike and Dustin Baker with eleven year old Dustin taking credit for the catch with a weight of 1 lb. 7 oz. They were also fishing the attractor using Culprit tassle tails on Vicious 6# Hi-Vis Panfish line.The Florida Crappie Association would like everyone to know that their tournaments are normally the second Saturday of the month an every one is welcome to participate. for information you can call Darryl Cole at 352-669-0442.
