The crew and clients suffered through a rough weather day and decided to stay close in to the bay which somewhat limited the big Halibut plans. The clients, Dale Fentress and his buddies are fishing with us for 3 days straight so they decided to go fish for Ling Cod and Rockfish on the first day. While jigging for Rockfish they landed a 22.3 pound Bocaccio Rockfish which could turn out to be a record fish. All information that we have located to date shows the largest previous recorded Bocaccio weighed in at 21 pounds. The paperwork, pictures and witness signatures are all in to see if a world, state or any record has been achieved for this fish.

Pictures will follow on an upcoming report as the only pictures taken were on clients' digital cameras and they have not had a chance to download them yet. Keep checking to see if we broke a record.
