On calm clear days, sight fishing for tailing redfish has been good reports Captain Keith Mixon (www.mixinworkwithplay.com). In the past week, slot size reds have been caught using Nemire's 3/8 oz red ripper gold spoon or Bass Assassin's Good Penny 5" BLURP Saltwater Shad in one to two feet of water. In addition, top water lures fished slow in low light contitions have worked well for trout. Many of these trout have weighed three pounds or less. During the winter months, cold water will make these fish lethargic. A slow presentation will work best for solid hook ups.
