Fishing on Sabine is red hot. The fronts are slowing down and the weather is settling down. The water is clearing up on the south end and the fishing is fantastic. The best bite has been when the tide first starts going out. The best bait has been pumpkin seed/chart tail. The red fishing is really hot right now. The best bait for them has been Gulp! 4" swim minnow pearl white. This bait has also been taking lots of flounder to 4 pounds. If you can get out there when the wind lays downs the water clears up quick. Working the banks in the ship channel has produce most of the fish. The best bite has been in 6-9ft of water with a 3/8 jig. The jetties have been hit or miss due to the wind. Look for them to turn on when the wind lays.
