16/2/09 All quiet on both fronts. Wind SW light to fresh with reasonable cloud cover. Max air temperature 11.7c. 17/2/09 Lough Currane was flat calm for most of the day and what little wind was there, came from the south and that was the only bit of action they saw. As I wasn't pontificating to my noble Salmon today, I got the Lough Currane facts from Mr Michel O'Sullivan of Waterville Boats and @ lobsterb@iol.ie max air temperature 9.5c.18/2/09 well there was one local gillie with a smile on his face today, that was Mr Bob Priestly who caught a lightening fresh Salmon trolling by the point of the Grassy Island and I can tell you, the liquid libations' were going down well in the Lobster Bar tonight. Overcast all day with light misty rain throughout the day. Wind SE then veered SW after lunch and veered again this evening back into the S light to fresh, max air temperature 9.6c. 19/2/09 All fishing lines today were on the slack side, so the least said the soonest mended. Wind ENE light with bright sunshine throughout the day, amount of rain fall in the last 24 hours 0.7mm. 20/2/09 My Noble Salmon were keeping a low profile, or you could say we anglers failed in all departments, but as Lough Currane was flat calm throughout the day we anglers do have a slight excuse for not procuring. Wind, there was a breeze coming from

the west this afternoon and overcast, with the odd bit of sun breaking through, max air temperature 9.7c. 21/2/09 Here is Meteorological service, for the Waterville Fishery, there is a deep depression going across Lough Currane due to the lack of action by my Noble Gentlemen the Salmon and anglers alike, but this could all change if the Rascal is caught tomorrow and if he or she is caught at least some Angler or anglers will be on a High. Wind WNW light and overcast with the odd bit of sun breaking through, max air temperature 11.3c. 22/2/09 Well the depression didn't last long because Mr Eric Jouen of Waterville, fishing with his Father-in-Law Mr Michel O'Sullivan of Waterville boats and @ lobsterb@iol.ie caught a fine 9lbs plus Salmon on the troll and for the rest of we anglers I have to say we failed miserably in our duties. Wind NNW light and overcast with light misty rain all afternoon and evening, amount of rainfall 2.6mm, max air temperature 11.1c. Well that's all the news from your gillie and the Waterville fishery. No Spin No Fly's just Facts.
