16/6/08 All quiet on all fronts. Wind NNW light with the odd shower. Amount of rainfall 0.6mm, max air temperature 15.5C/59.9F. 17/6/08 today's and the last few days results, I have poached from WWW.Loughcurrane.com and they are as follows. Mr Mertens and party caught a number of Sea trout of which the biggest was 6lbs, next in the rod bending department was a guest fishing with his gillie Mr Vincent O'Sullivan of WWW.Vincentsfishing.com caught 2 Sea trout in the 2 to 3lbs class and last but not least, Mr Frank Donnelly of WWW.Lakelandshouse.com and guests, also had a nice basket of Sea Trout. Wind SW light to fresh and overcast with light rain throughout the afternoon, amount of rainfall 1.6mm,max air temperature 15.8C/60.44F. 18/6/08 It made a small flood today which was no harm, but now down to business, angler of the day, goes to Mr M. Clancy of Cork who caught a fine grilse this afternoon on the troll. Wind SW light to fresh with light rain up untill the wind went into the NW about 3.30pm this afternoon. Amount of rainfall 21.5mm,max air temperature 14.8C/58.64F. 19/6/08 Commeragh River produced a fine 5lbs Grilse, for Local guide Mr Kevin Brain and of WWW.Kbfishingireland.com on Lough Currane a guest fishing with Mr Brod O'Sullivan of Stella Maris guesthouse caught a 9lbs Salmon on the troll and in the Sea Trout department an angler caught 4 Sea trout of which the biggest weighed in at 3lbs. Wind NW then veered WSW late this afternoon, light to fresh. Max air temperature 16.6C/61.88F. 20/6/08 All quiet on the SW front. Wind WSW light with reasonable cloud cover. Max air temperature 16.8C/62.24F. 21/6/08 Lough Currane was on the slack side, but I read on WWW.Loughcurrane.com the Commeragh River produced a few Sea trout caught by WWW.kbfishingireland.com and staying with the Sea trout there are a few being caught in the evening but nothing that would satisfy the Irish Specimen Committee? so pull your socks up and after today's rain you have no excuses ?. Wind SSW fresh and at times strong with light and at times heavy rain all day, amount of rainfall 29.6mm, max air temperature 17C/62.6F. 22/6/08 All quiet on all fronts after the flood that never was, well put this way Lough Currane will rise but not enough to satisfy my Noble Salmon and Sea Trout? Wind WNW fresh to strong with the odd light shower, amount of rainfall 1.1mm,max air temperature 15.9C/60.62F. That is all the news from your gillie and the Waterville fishery.
