17/8/09 There were a few Seatrout caught on the big Lake/Lough Currane, but the main action was on the famous Butler Pool and www.watervillegolflinks.ie with three Grilse 4,6,7lbs all caught on the fly, Anglers in the Butler Pool striking zone, were Mr. Brett Desmond and his good friend David, Mr. Liam Higgins Waterville's pro golfer, they were all fishing with their Guide/Gillie Mr. Mike O'Dwyer. Wind SSW light with light misty rain at times, amount of rainfall 0.3mm, max air temperature 18.6c. 18/8/09 There were a few Seatrout caught but nothing would make your camera shake. Wind SW light and overcast with light misty rain throughout the day, amount of rainfall in the last 24 hours 10.9mm, max air temperature 18.7c. 19/8/09 I will head straight for the poaching department and to our manger Mr. John Murphy Esq. and of www.loughcurrane.com is reporting that some Anglers reported, they caught up to six Seatrout. Wind SSW and overcast with heavy rain throughout the day, amount of rainfall 24.8mm, max air temperature 17.7c. 20/8/09 Lough Currane was on the quiet side after the big flood, even though there was the odd Seatrout caught. Wind WNW fresh with the odd strong gust, with the odd light shower, amount of rainfall in the 24 hours 6.5mm, max air temperature 17.0c. 21/8/09 just a few Seatrout caught but no real rod benders, and where my noble Salmon is concerned, we Anglers seek him here and we seek him there and we seek every where, but alas my Noble salmon is as allusive as ever, or is it we Anglers are failing miserably in our duties. Wind WSW light with reasonable cloud cover, amount of rainfall 2.9mm, max air temperature 17.8c. 22/8/09 Last week all eyes were on the 2nd Lough Currane Seatrout competition, well today and tomorrow all eyes will be on the all Ireland coastal rowing Championship, all I can say is good luck to all competitors, now for the Seatrout results, there were a few caught, but to be fair to all anglers, I think they were more interested in watching the rowing. Wind SSW light and overcast with rain coming in this evening, amount of rainfall 7.0mm, max air temperature 17.0c. 23/8/09. Made another big flood this morning with a strong SW blowing and our manger Mr. John Murphy Esq. reported this morning that he saw an angler playing a good salmon on the famous butler Pool and & www.Watervillegolflinks.ie and on Lake side, there were just the odd sea trout caught. Wind SW strong first thing, then dropped light to fresh, amount of rainfall in the last 24 hours 45.3mm, max air temperature 16.5c.That is your ration for this week, from your Gillie and the Waterville Fishery.
