24/8/09 Lough Curran has had a right old battering with another massive flood, which we had yesterday and of course that goes for all the Waterville system and if my noble angler did procure the odd Seatrout fair play to him or her. Wind SSW fresh, amount of rainfall 7.2mm, max air temperature 16.4c. 25/8/09 All quiet on the SW front. Wind the same as yesterday, amount of rain fall 21.5mm, max air temperature 17.2c. 26/8/09 I will put today's notes in the words of our manger Mr. John Murphy Esq. and of www.Loughcurrane.com and I quote, huge water and plenty more to come, and there is no argument to that, and John was also saying that there is plenty of Seatrout running to the upper lakes and for all you anglers who like a quiet days fishing, those upper Lakes, are a fishermen's paradise, so once the system settles down, they are well worth a cast. Wind NW light to fresh with reasonable cloud cover, amount of rainfall 6.4mm, max air temperature 16.7c. 27/8/09 Lough Currane was on the wild side first thing this morning with the wind coming from the SSE and come late morning it veered into WNW fresh to strong, so as you can well imagine the elements were against my noble angler, even though I am sure the odd Seatrout were caught. Amount of rainfall in the last 24 hours 8.3mm, max air temperature 16.3c. 28/8/09 My Noble game fish were on the quiet side. Wind WNW fresh to strong with heavy showers on and off throughout the day, amount of rainfall 1.8mm, max air temperature 16.0c. 29/8/09 A party fishing with Mr Neil O'Shea and of www.Oshealoughcurrane.com caught five Seatrout. Wind W then veered SW light to fresh with reasonable cloud cover with light rain coming in this evening. Amount of rainfall 1.2mm,max air temperature 17.0c. 30/8/09 There wasn't much action today, Wind S fresh to strong and overcast with light misty rain all day, amount of rainfall 19.1mm, max air temperature 17.1c. so here are the Salmon and Seatrout results, of fish taken in the past few days. First in Mr, John Murphy's striking zone and of www.Loughcurrane.com Mr Malcolmson and his party caught 37 Seatrout in the last few days, of which their best was 4.5lbs, also in good form was Mr Anthony Buckley, who caught a Grilse and a 9lbs Salmon, and last but not least, Donie and Denis Collins, caught a few Seatrout and their best Seatrout was 4.5lbs. That is your ration for this week, from your Gillie and the Waterville Fishery. No Spin No Fly's just Facts
