10/5/10 One Salmon caught on the troll by a guest fishing with his gillie Mr. Tom O'Shea and @ tomsfishing@eircom.net and in the Seatrout department A hired out boat from Waterville Boats and @ Watervilleboats@gmail.com caught a fine 3lbs Seatrout. Wind NNE light to fresh with reasonable cloud cover, max air temperature 12.2c. 11/5/10 There was some reasonable action in the Seatrout department, first in the striking zone with a 5lbs Seatrout caught on the fly, was that renowned artist from Co mayo Mr. Harry Freeney fishing with his Gillie Mr. Dominic Mc Gillicuddy, but Seatrout of the day goes to Mr. Dave Ecclestone of the UK, who caught a specimen Seatrout on the fly and finished the day off with a Seatrout of 3lbs 5oz, Dave was with his Gillie Mr. Vincent O'Sullivan and of www.Vincentsfishing.com and staying with the Seatrout, in the trolling department Mr John Baller fishing out of www.butlerarms.com caught a Seatrout of 2.lbs. With his Gillie Mr. Neil O'Shea and www.Oshealoughcurrane.com Wind N then veered NNW light with reasonable cloud cover, amount of rainfall 2.3mm, max air temperature 11.6c. 12/5/10 Even though the wind was ENE and variable that didn't Stop Mr. Dave Ecclestone of the UK procuring two fine Seatrout, one just under 6lbs and his second Seatrout of the day was in the 4lbs class, and just for the record both Seatrout were caught on the fly with his Gillie Mr. Vincent O'Sullivan and of www.Vincentsfishing.com and staying in the Seatrout department they say you can't keep a good artist down and today was a perfect example of that when Mr Harry Freeney caught a fine Seatrout of 3.5lbs on the fly with his Gillie Mr. Dominic Mc Gillicuddy. Wind as already stated, amount of rainfall 4.4mm, max air temperature 11.1c. 13/5/10 There was a fine 4.5lbs Seatrout caught on the fly by a guest fishing with his gillie Mr. Dominic Mc Gillicuddy and staying with the fly, C&R of the day goes to Mr. Roger Baker with a fine Specimen Seatrout of 6.75lbs caught on a Claret bumble. Wind S then veered W and veered again into the NW light and fresh at times and overcast with light rain this morning, amount of rainfall 0.7mm, max air temperature 13.1c 14/5/10 The Walsh brothers from the UK were in good form when they caught a fine Grilse on the fly with their Gillie Mr. Vincent Appleby and of www.Salmonandseatrout.com and in the brown trout department their good friends from Spain caught two fine Brown trout in the 3lbs class and five more in the 1lbs class, now to the Seatrout department, catch of the day goes to a guest, fishing with his Gillie Mr. Vincent O'Sullivan and of www.Vincentsfishing.com with two fine Seatrout in the 4 to 5lbs class. Wind N light to fresh with reasonable cloud cover, amount of rainfall 12.8c. 15/5/10 There was a fine 8.5lbs specimen Seatrout caught on the fly by a German Angler, Mr. Markus Kase fishing out of www.lakelandshouse.com and with his Gillie Mr. Mike O'Dwyer and @ mikegDwyer@gmail.com also in good form was Mr. St.Johndundon with a 2.5lbs Seatrout caught on the fly with his gillie Mr. Tom O'Shea and @ tom fishing@eircom.net next in the striking zone is Mr. Pat O Mahony of Cork who caught a 4lbs Seatrout on the drift and staying in the 4lbs class Mr. Arthur White of the UK caught a fine Seatrout on the fly with his Gillie Mr. Bob Priestley, a guest also caught a fine Seatrout in the 4lbs class with his Gillie Mr. Vincent O'Sullivan and of www.vincentsfishing.com and last but not least a guest fishing with his Gillie Mr. Terrance Wharton also caught a Seatrout in the 3 to 4 lbs class. Wind W then veered SW light to fresh, with reasonable cloud cover, amount of rain fall 0.1mm, max air temperature 13.4c. 16/5/10 Today was bright and sunny with a light Northerly wind, and sadly my Noble Anglers failed miserably in their duties. Amount of rainfall 1.1mm, max air temperature 13.4c. Just a quick note on the record Seatrout of 12lbs 13.57oz Caught by Mr Liam Ellis, Mr. Frank Donnelly may have lost the record but www.Lakelandshouse.com keeps the record because Liam was fishing out of Lakelandshouse.com. That is your ration for this week, from your Gillie/Guide and the Waterville Fishery. No Spin No Fly's just facts.
