9/2/09 Not a lot of action on Lough Currane today, we anglers were brought down to earth after yesterday's excitement but at least there was a good party had by all in the Lobster bar, celebrating Eric's fine Salmon last night. Wind, E then veered NE late this afternoon, plus the odd shower this evening as the boats were heading in. amount of rainfall 0.7mm, max air temperature 6.4c. 10/2/09 All quiet on the SW front, but it was a different story on the eastern front where Mr Mike Teahan of Waterville caught a fine lightening fresh 9lbs Salmon on the Commeragh River. Wind WNW light to fresh and overcast with the odd light shower. Amount of rainfall in the last 24 hours 6.5mm, max air temperature 8.8c. 11/2/09 All quiet on both fronts. Wind ENE light to calm and overcast with light drizzle throughout the day. Amount of rainfall 8.8mm, max air temperature 9.5c. 12/2/09 My noble salmon were in a lethargic mood as were my Noble anglers, need I say more. Wind WNW light to calm and overcast. Amount of rainfall 2.8mm, max air temperature 11.8c 13/2/09 There were a few boats out but all failed to locate that allusive Salmon. Wind SSW light to calm and overcast throughout the day, max air temperature 11.6c. 14/2/09 Lough Currane was like the Untied Nations today and by the end of the day we all had something in common with each other we all failed miserably in our duties in procuring the Wild Atlantic Salmon. Wind SW light to fresh and overcast with light drizzle at times. Amount of rainfall 4.2mm, max air temperature 10.6c. 15/2/09 Lough Currane was on quiet side and not surprising with a very light to calm SW wind, plus plenty of sun breaking through, but to be fair to Lough Currane it would be nice to see a few more boats working out there. Well that is all the news from your gillie and the Waterville fishery. No Spin no fly's just Facts.
